What the service does and how rentals work.

What is SMSINBOX?
SMSINBOX provides temporary phone numbers for receiving SMS verification codes on popular online platforms. It helps you complete verification without exposing your personal phone number.
What is the difference between short-term and long-term rentals?
Short-term rentals are built for quick verification sessions, usually from minutes to several hours. Long-term rentals are for cases where you need to keep the same number for a longer period when inventory is available.
How do I rent a number?
Choose a service and country, review the available price, rent the number, and wait for the SMS code in your dashboard. Active rentals and received messages are shown in My Numbers.

Rentals and SMS Delivery

What should I do if an SMS does not arrive?
SMS can be delayed by the target platform, country routing, or current inventory quality. If the rental actions show a resend option, request a new code there first. If the number still does not receive SMS, replace it with another available number when replacement is offered.

It can also help to use a VPN from the same country as the purchased number or change your IP address before trying the verification again. When stability matters more than price, choosing a higher-priced available number can improve the chance of successful delivery.
Can I request another SMS code?
Yes, when the rental supports resend and the resend action is currently available. The dashboard shows the action only when it can be used, including any cooldown state.
Can I replace a number?
Replacement is available only for eligible active rentals that have not received an SMS yet. If the action is available, the dashboard will show it in the rental actions.
Why does number availability change?
Inventory changes continuously by service, country, price, and routing conditions. A specific service, country, or number may be available at one moment and unavailable later.

Payments and Refunds

How do payments work?
Payments are processed in cryptocurrency through third-party payment processors. After a confirmed payment is credited, you can use your SMSINBOX balance for rentals.
Do you refund failed or unused rentals?
Eligible unused rentals may be credited back to your internal SMSINBOX balance when you cancel before any SMS is received or when a rental expires without receiving SMS. For the exact rules, read the Refund Policy.
Can crypto payments be refunded to the original wallet?
Crypto transactions are irreversible by design. SMSINBOX balance credits are service credits for future use and are not paid back to the original wallet, exchange account, card, or payment method.
What should I send support for payment issues?
Include your account email, the transaction hash, amount sent, date and time of payment, and any related rental ID. This helps support verify the payment and account balance faster.

Privacy and Account Data

What is stored and how account data is handled.

What data does SMSINBOX store?
SMSINBOX stores account, transaction, security, rental, and SMS data needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, keep history, and resolve support cases. See the Privacy Policy for the full description.
Do you use tracking cookies?
SMSINBOX uses only strictly necessary cookies for authentication and secure login flows. We do not use tracking, analytics, advertising, or third-party cookies.
What happens when an account is inactive or deleted?
Unverified accounts may be deleted after the verification window. Verified accounts can receive inactivity notices before deletion. Once deletion completes, remaining balance, account data, and history may be permanently lost. See the Privacy Policy and Terms.

Is there a public API?
Yes. SMSINBOX provides a public client API for short-term rental catalog, quote, purchase, SMS reading, cancel, resend, finish, and replace actions. Start with the API documentation.
Where do I create or regenerate an API key?
Sign in and open the API page in your dashboard. Regenerating a key replaces the active key, so update any external tooling that uses the old key.
Does the API support long-term rentals?
The current public client API is scoped to short-term rentals. Long-term rental management remains available through the dashboard.

How do I contact support?
Contact support by email at [email protected] or through Telegram. Include your account email and the relevant rental or payment details.
What details help support resolve rental issues?
Send your account email, rental ID, service and country selected, time of purchase, current rental status, and a short description of what went wrong.
